Canadian-born Rolph Blakstad studied Medieval and Renaissance art and architecture in Florence, he relocated permanently to Ibiza in 1956 where he founded Blakstad Design Consultants in 1967. Since then the company has grown to become one of the island’s most highly regarded and well-respected design brand. Romano Arquitectos is an architecture and interior design studio founded in Barcelona in 1992 by Jaime Romano. Until 2004, the studio focused mostly on developing projects in Ibiza, they then expanded to South Arabia, Tunisia, Angola, Barbados, and much more. They like to renovate and always do it with an innovative eye to build homes that reveal themselves. Fusing the border between what is man-made and what is natural provided visual continuity.
