5 Simple Ways to Upgrade your Outside Space in Ibiza
Not all of us are lucky enough to be living in a big beautiful Ibizan Finca in the campo with plenty of outside space. So for those of us who only have a small balcony, terrace, or courtyard to enjoy the summer in – here are some ways to get the most out of your outside space.
Use Mirrors
We recently blogged about how to create harmony between your inside and outside space in your Ibiza Property. And this a perfect example of when to use the trend of bringing those traditional materials from outside in – and vice-versa. Using mirrors (more traditionally associated with inside space) is an ideal way to open up a small outside area, with light and reflection and to add a touch of elegance to your exterior space.

Make Use of Vertical Spaces
If your ground space is limited – don’t forget there are usually plenty of vertical spaces, i.e. walls and fences that can be utilised in a small balcony or terrace. You can use these to build shelves and hooks from which you can house smaller plants, hanging baskets, or to support any greenery that grows up the sides of walls – climbing like Ivy or Ibiza classic bougainvillea.

Up-Cycle with Storage Solutions
Turn old crates into cozy seating or super cute side tables – with the bonus of an extra bit of storage space when turned on their side. A lick of paint, some cool cushions, and funky throws might be just what the doctor ordered to get them up to looking ‘Ibiza Shabby Chic’ and gorgeous.

Get Green with Artificial Grass
Outside area paved or bricked over and lacking about or greenery? Well, that’s ok, you can fake it until you make it with a little bit of Artificial grass to brighten and amplify the floors of your outside area. the beautiful thing is that it’s so low maintenance – you don’t have to worry about watering it or it dying off the in the summer.
